Website and Communications Consultant

1- Organization Background:
Inclusive Horizons Centre for Capacity and Resource Development is a non-profit organization based in St. John’s, Newfoundland
and Labrador. Inclusive Horizons supports newcomers and equity-deserving communities through capacity building, professional
pathways, mentorship, community engagement, and access to meaningful opportunities.

2- Purpose of the Request:
Inclusive Horizons is seeking a qualified Website and Communications Consultant to support the development, improvement, and
visibility of its website and public-facing communications. The consultant will help strengthen the organization’s outreach, online
presence, and communication materials so newcomers, community partners, funders, and stakeholders can better understand
Inclusive Horizons’ work and services.

3- Scope of Work:
The selected consultant will support some or all of the following, based on the approved budget and agreed deliverables:
➢ Review, update, or improve Inclusive Horizons’ website structure, content, layout, and user experience.
➢ Develop clear, plain-language website and outreach content that reflects Inclusive Horizons’ mission, services, target
groups, programs, and impact.
➢ Support communications materials such as flyers, one-pagers, posters, digital graphics, social media templates, or other
outreach assets.
➢ Provide recommendations to improve branding consistency, digital visibility, accessibility, and community engagement.
➢ Provide final editable files/templates and a brief handover to support future use by the organization.

4- Budget:
The available budget for this work is up to $4,000, subject to final approval, project alignment, and satisfactory completion of agreed
deliverables. Proposals should include the proposed fee, estimated hours, deliverables, timeline, and any additional costs.

5- Timeline:
➢ Request issued: September 15, 2026
➢ Proposal/quote deadline: October 10, 2026
➢ Commencements: October 15, 2026
➢ Final deliverables due: March 31, 2027

6- Proposal Requirements:
Interested consultants should submit a brief proposal or quote including:
➢ Name and contact information
➢ Relevant website, communications, digital marketing, and/or design experience
➢ Proposed approach and deliverables
➢ Timeline
➢ Cost estimate
➢ Samples of similar work, if available; and
➢ Relevant experience with non-profit, newcomer-serving, immigrant-led, grassroots, equity-focused, or community-based
organizations, if applicable.

7- Preferred Experience / Assets:
Inclusive Horizons especially welcomes proposals from consultants who have lived experience as immigrants, newcomers,
internationally trained professionals, or members of equity-deserving communities. Experience working with newcomer-serving,
immigrant-led, non-profit, grassroots, or equity-focused organizations will be considered a strong asset.

8- Selection and Submission:
Proposals will be reviewed based on relevant experience, understanding of inclusive and plain-language communications, quality of
proposed deliverables, timeline, cost, and overall value. Inclusive Horizons intends to review at least three quotes/proposals before
selecting a consultant.
